Sri Ramakrishna Math Charitable Dispensary was started in 1925 to extend medical service to the poor and the helpless patients in and around the locality. The devoted and self-sacrificing service of devotees, volunteers and staff has enabled this Dispensary to become a very useful Centre of Medical Relief and Diagnostic Centre in this part of Chennai. On an average, 700 patients per day avail of the medical facilities at the Dispensary. Most of the medicines are given free of cost. Costly medicines like antibiotics, tonics etc. are given at a very subsidized price.

The tests are done at a very low price. There are about 30 doctors covering most of the departments. The consultation charge is just Re.1/- only!
