For the past 23 years, a Mobile Medical service is operating in the interior villages of Manali Firka, Chengalpattu District. A team of honorary Doctors, paramedical workers and volunteers are involved in this camp. They visit the village every Sunday in our Mobile Dispensary Van with medicines, tonics, etc. to serve the poor people. Every week, more than 350 patients are treated, at an expenditure of Rs.6,000/- per week. About 40 villages are covered by this scheme. Recently, preventive work has been started in Theeyambakkam village, and other villages will be taken up in due course. Immunization programme, health education, etc. are planned under this scheme. The aim is to provide total health care to every family in the village.

 No. of cases treated between APR 2008 to MAR 2009:  Male: 3191, Female: 6091, Children: 1277. Total: 10,559.
